We had such a good day. The weather was a little chilly so we bundled up and spent the afternoon just walking around and looking at all the animals. Megan got to feed the giraffes, ride the merry-go-round twice, and we took a train ride. We then met Papa for dinner. It was "A Perfect Day" (I'm hearing the Fresh Beat Band in my mind)!!!
This little thing. I love her so much and today was a special day for her. She turned three! She is cute, funny, smart, and tells me everyday that I'm her best friend. She is my best friend too.
Megan has found something new that she absolutely loves, painting. As a nice surprise my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law treated me and Megs to a special day at one of those painting places. We had such a good time. Megs and I both painted plates. Here are pictures of our masterpieces.
Of course mom had to get in on all the fun too but I'm no Monet!
My sister-in-law is here for a visit with my nephew J.T. He is so funny and totally different from Megan. Since we only have girls Mark and I have no clue about boys. He is wide open. He makes the funniest sounds, always grunting. If there is a plate of food in front of him he has to put his hands all in it. Megan will just look at him with complete confusion. They are having a blast - I am having a blast. While I’m typing this I am being mauled by the cutest one and two year old I know. I always wanted to be an aunt. I remember being worried that I would fall in love with an only child and then I would never been an aunt. I believe that God heard my prayers and answered them. I also love having a sister.
Mark and I have been married for seven years. We have two beautiful daughters and one on the way...will this one be a boy???
Mark and the girls
Alexis is 11 and is a true pre teen. We love every minute she is with us and count the days until she comes to visit. Megan is now 3. I think she loves being three and able to really tell us who is boss. She is very excited to be a big sister!
