Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Dora Wanta-Be

Today Megan got dressed all by herself.

Do you see a resemblance?????

She must have heard me tell Mark the other day while we were talking about Dora, "Who dresses their kid with a pink shirt and orange pants?"

Apparently I DO!!!!

Megan Monet

Megan has found something new that she absolutely loves, painting. As a nice surprise my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law treated me and Megs to a special day at one of those painting places. We had such a good time. Megs and I both painted plates. Here are pictures of our masterpieces.

Of course mom had to get in on all the fun too but I'm no Monet!

First Hair Cut

Meg's got her first hair cut. She has crazy hair. Nothing drastic, just a trim and a little layering. Of course I think she looks adorable.

Crazy J.T.

My sister-in-law is here for a visit with my nephew J.T. He is so funny and totally different from Megan. Since we only have girls Mark and I have no clue about boys. He is wide open. He makes the funniest sounds, always grunting. If there is a plate of food in front of him he has to put his hands all in it. Megan will just look at him with complete confusion. They are having a blast - I am having a blast. While I’m typing this I am being mauled by the cutest one and two year old I know. I always wanted to be an aunt. I remember being worried that I would fall in love with an only child and then I would never been an aunt. I believe that God heard my prayers and answered them. I also love having a sister.

Yummy M&M's

Who can resist some delicious M&M's? (Megan & Marissa that is!)

Megan and I have spent the week in Minnesota visiting our very good friends, the Coreano's. Chrissie and I have been friends since 9th grade. Now our girls are becoming the best of friends. Actually that last sentence is only my wish. Megan tends to be kind of mean. So far this week has involved Megan taking Marissa's toys away from her while yelling, “MINE!” Megan has also pushed, kicked and to top it all off Megan bit Marissa. The only saving grace in my mind is that the bite happened while they were hugging not fighting. I think my obsession with vampire love stories has rubbed off on my daughter!

Even though my angel has been somewhat of a devil this week Chrissie and I have had a wonderful time together catching up and just hanging out. The reason for this trip was to launch her in her new business with Arbonne. If you know me you know I’m addicted to Arbonne. I love the products and now I’m loving the business. Mark also loves the business, he has already filed our taxes and is waiting patiently for our very large return! Chrissie has decided to jump on the bandwagon with me and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I’m so happy that she has decided to join this journey with me. We had a couple of great parties and she has more scheduled. Way to go Chrissie, you are going to rock it!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Saturday was Mark's 31st birthday and definitely a reason to celebrate. I wish I could take credit for this idea but Mark came up with it all on his own. He found all these free food items that you get on your birthday. I love anything free so I was in!

Here are some pictures from our day of fun.

Megan was so excited, she couldn't wait to get started!

Stop #1: Caribou Coffee. Here is Mark with his free drink. Mark picked a large Caramel High Rise

Stop #2: Krispy Kreme. It says online you get a half dozen original glazed doughnuts and a mug with coffee. But, when we asked for our freebies we were told that promo was no longer available, bummer. He did get one free doughnut, we bought a few more and called it breakfast.
(Here is Mark driving to stop #3 recovering from a Doughnut Coma)

Stop #3 was a detour to the liquor store. I told the cashier it was Mark's birthday and asked if he could get anything for free. He pointed to the big bucket of dum dum's. Might not be the bottle of Maker's Mark I wanted but it was still something free. Meg loved it!

We also stopped by the Land Rover dealer to pick up our free admission certificate. They even took the truck to the admissions place and had it done for us! We love them!

Stop #4: Red Robin. After Meg's nap we headed out to Red Robin for dinner. Mark got the Whisky River Burger for FREE! I also had a coupon for a free kids meal. What a deal :)

Needless to say we were full and had friends on their way over to our house so after Red Robin we had to call it a day and go home. But today we used Mark's birthday coupon for a free ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. He also has a coupon for a free scoop at Baskin Robins that I'm sure he will use before it expires on 1/7/08.

If you are looking for your own Free Day Of Fun, check out this blog that has all the links of where to sign up,

I'm signed up for everywhere I want to go on my birthday and Meg's. I think we found a new tradition!

Happy Birthday Mark, this year was a great one. I loved spending the day with you and Megan. We love you!
